  • Your baggage is the airline's responsibility after you've handed it over at check-in.
  • If your baggage is damaged as a result of an airline's negligence or for any reason within their control, you should make a claim for compensation through Resolver.
  • Make sure to include a list of expenses caused by the damage.
  • Airlines are allowed to ask you for proof.
  • There may be a limit to the amount of compensation you can get, depending on the airline.
  • You may be eligible for a total of between $1,500 and $2,100 for the damage.
  • To claim compensation, you have to complain within 7 days of the incident!

International flights

This piece of legislation allows you to claim up to $2,000 per passenger for lost, delayed or damaged packages. To claim compensation, you have to complain within 7 days of the incident!
