- You have 30 days from your statement date to report any error that may appear on your credit card statement.
- Make sure you understand your cardholder agreement, so you fully understand all the fees you are responsible for.
- If you don’t make your required minimum monthly payments by the due date, your interest rate may increase.
- The amount of increase depends on your account terms and conditions.
- Federally regulated financial institutions (e.g. banks) have to provide a minimum 21-day grace period. This period starts on your statement date.
- As long as you pay off your credit card in full before the end of the grace period, you will not have to pay any interest charges.
- If you have been overcharged you should let your credit card provider know as soon as possible.
